Thuan 1 Primary School, constructed at a total cost of 1.88 billion VND, includes three sturdy classrooms, male and female restrooms, and a tree-filled campus, meeting the Ministry of Education and Training's standards. The project received primary funding from Japan's 1&D Holdings Group, with additional support from Plan International, the People's Committee of Huong Hoa District, and other resources to fully equip the school with tables, chairs, library cabinets, fans, and decorative items, creating a well-furnished learning environment.
Completed within ten months, from April 2024 to February 2025, the school now provides spacious classrooms for 77 students from grades 1 to 4, eliminating the need for shared or makeshift learning spaces in community houses. Importantly, the facility offers safety from natural disasters and floods, ensuring stability and security for students.
During the inauguration ceremony, Nguyen Van Tu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Hoa District, described the school as not only a critical addition to the district's educational infrastructure but also a meaningful gift and encouragement for teachers, students, and residents of Ban 1 village in Thuan Commune.
Following the ceremony, sponsors and district leaders planted souvenir trees, signed a commitment to advocate for educational investment, particularly promoting equality for girls, and organized cultural exchanges and fun activities for students, adding joy and motivation to the occasion.
Thuan 1 Primary School marks the first project supported by Japan's 1&D Holdings Group in Quang Tri Province and the sixth in its Vietnam support chain, demonstrating its dedication to advancing education in disadvantaged communities.
