UK and Europe daily weather forecast latest, March 21: Cloudy weather to continue while most places be dry
UK's weather forecast
According to Sky News, the cloudy skies continue on Sunday, but most places will be dry with light winds. The best chance of bright or sunny spells will be in the northeast.
BBC Weather forecaster Matt Taylor noted that Britain was seeing sparks of early summer with warm temperatures. He noted that Britain saw one of the highest temperatures throughout Europe on Thursday due to the high pressure. He added going into the weekend, Britains could expect the temperatures to remain in the mid-teens albeit with more cloud than sunshine.
Mr Taylor said: "Look at this from Thursday, it is not often that I get to say this. Yesterday across the entirety of Europe, two of the warmest spots were in Scotland and Iceland. Highs of 19 and 20 degrees, almost a feel of early summer. The reason is we have had high pressure to the west of us and the winds around the high-pressure system go in a clockwise fashion."
"We have been drawing up the air from the mid-Atlantic, pushing into Iceland and then west of the UK."
The BBC Weather forecaster noted cold air from Scandinavia has been impacting the south-east of Europe.

However, temperatures are still set to increase over the weekend despite this. He continued: "On Friday there will be some sunshine in the southeast corner of the UK but a lot of clouds elsewhere."
"This afternoon even though we have got the sunshine across East Anglia and the south-east it will still be a chilly day. But yesterday it was 19 degrees in Edinburgh and today the warmest of the air today probably to the western side of the central belt. It will be about 16 or 17 degrees in the Glasgow area and temperatures elsewhere around where it should be for the time of year."
For some areas, there will be outbreaks of rain and cloud through Friday, however.
Mr Taylor continued: "On Saturday with all that cloud around temperatures won't drop too much but where you do get the breaks there is an outside chance of some frost. Throughout Saturday there will be plenty of clouds but it is a case of finding some of the breaks. Eastern Scotland into northeastern England there will be some more sunshine."
Through Saturday, temperatures will range across the UK with a high of 14 degrees and a low of 9 degrees. Looking forward the Met Office said: "Going into April, settled conditions are likely to continue in southern and eastern areas, where a good deal of dry and bright weather will occur."
"The weather in the northwest will be changeable and unsettled, and there is a slight possibility that some of the wet and windy weather may push southwards into central areas at times, allowing clearer but showery weather into the northwest. Conditions look to be drier than average for most."
"Temperatures are expected to be near to or milder than average, with any cooler interludes likely to be short-lived, and mostly in the north. With the year progressing and temperatures warming, there is an increased chance of afternoon showers, even in the settled southeast."

According to Weather Online, high pressure still generally the dominating weather feature on Sunday although a weakened front will bring more cloud and some possible light rain to western areas as well as through some central and southern English counties. Generally dry elsewhere with variable amounts of cloud about and some sunny spells too. Highs at 10 to 14C.
Still large areas of cloud at first but brighter skies in the north spreading to all but parts of the west and south, where the odd light shower is possible, Met Office reported.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday
Largely settled and dry at first with some sunshine, mainly in the east. Probably remaining dry in the south but turning wetter and windier in the northwest from Tuesday.
