UK and Europe weather forecast latest, August 31: Warmer temperatures to sweep across the UK

According to Express, low pressure is sweeping across the UK from the Atlantic this weekend, bring stormy weather with it. But next week will see warmer temperatures, according to the latest hot weather maps from Net Weather. On Wednesday. South East London and even as far north as North Yorkshire will be hit with 21C.
The following day on Thursday will also see Hull and Peterborough experience 21C. Nick Finnis at Netweather said: "Temperatures edging up though through the week, reaching the low twenties in the south."
But before that, Sunday will be battered by a few showers. Mr Finnis said: "Just the odd light shower perhaps near coasts. With winds easing, it will feel a little warmer than Saturday too."

"Bank Holiday Monday will start chilly but bright, temperatures in low single figures at dawn in rural northern and western areas, perhaps.a ground frost in some sheltered Scottish Glens. Some those camping be prepared to wrap up warm Sunday night!"
"But with high pressure in control, a generally dry and fine Monday, with sunny spells. With light winds, feeling a little warmer than the weekend too. Particularly in the southeast."
He added: "After a bright start in the east, an occluded front will move east on Tuesday, bringing cloudier skies, along with a spell of rain across northern and western areas in the morning, rain lighter and more patchy or showery as it reaches the east of England later."

"Further cloud and rain look likely for northern and western areas on Wednesday along with strengthening southwesterly winds."
"Drier and brighter in the south and east. Cloud and patchy rain eventually sliding southeast over southern areas Thursday, brighter but with showers further north."
"Cloudy with perhaps further rain returning across the south on Friday, but brighter in the north."
The Met Office has forecast "heavy showers" in the southeast today. The latest forecast on its website said: "Scattered showers along a few coastlines, perhaps heavy in the far southeast at first."

"However the vast majority of the country seeing dry weather with sunshine at times."
"Less windy so feeling pleasant enough by the afternoon. The forecast added that winds and rain will linger as the week progresses, despite temperatures still soaring to 21C."
The Met Office said: "Apart from an odd shower near coasts, mainly in the southeast, a continuation of fine weather with some decent sunshine."

"Further rain, heavy over western hills, will move east through Wednesday, clearing Thursday. Windy in the north."
Europe's weather forecast
According to Weather Online, heavy showers affect the far north of Spain on Sunday but otherwise its a dry, fine and warm day over Iberia. Dry, sunny and warm too for the Balearic Islands and southern Italy while northern portions of Italy will be cloudier with outbreaks of rain, these locally heavy and thundery. Greece and Turkey see the continuation of hot, dry and sunny condtions.

Low pressure over central Europe brings outbreaks of rain and breezy conditions to parts of France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland on Sunday. A dry but overcast day for much of Slovakia and Hungary. A bright but showery day for the Benelux region.
A bright day with isolated showers for Denmark while a band of heavy rain affects Lithuania. Drier for Estonia and Latvia but rather cloudy here.
Another band of rain makes its way eastward over central Norway and Sweden on Sunday with brighter conditions following from the west over Norway. A bright day too for Finland though it will be showery here.

On August 31
Dry and fine for Portugal, Spain and the Balearic Islands on Monday. A band of heavy rain, this locally torrential, affects Corsica and Sardinia as well as central and northern parts of Italy before moving into the Balkans. Staying dry and hot for southern Italy and Sicily as well as Greece and Turkey.
A fair day for northern parts of France and Germany as well as the Low Countries with isolated showers here. Showers become more widespread for southern and eastern France and southern Germany and they will be locally thundery through the afternoon.

Showery too for much of Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland while a band of heavy rain moves into Austria, Hungary and Slovakia later.
Early rain and showers fade over Sweden, Finland and the Baltic States as high pressure builds over Scandinavia. A dry and bright start for Norway and Denmark with these conditions spreading east over Sweden, Finland and the Baltic States through the afternoon.
