	Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Expand Cooperation for Peace

At the meeting, Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, congratulated press agencies on the occasion of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. He recognized the positive contributions of press agencies, newspapers, and radio stations in propagating people-to-people diplomacy activities in general and those held by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations in particular in recent times.

In 2023, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations held many major events such as a series of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and other countries, typically the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan with the participation of Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko; Friendship meeting with intellectuals and young people of Vietnam - China,...

"Thanks to the companionship of press agencies, Vietnamese readers, people, and international friends could quickly access a lot of official, accurate, detailed, and specific information about meaningful activities and programs on the people's channel hosted by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and its member organizations," Phan Anh Son said.

He suggested and hoped that in the coming time, he would continue to receive cooperation from press agencies in: producing articles on deepening the role and position of people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation; organizing seminars and scientific conferences related to journalism and current foreign affairs; exchanging and sharing about key activities of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations so that press products can better convey the message of the events; making comments on the coordination between the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and member organizations with news and press agencies in implementing external information on people's channels.

At the meeting, many suggestions were raised by representatives of leaders, editors, and reporters of press agencies with the hope for more effective coordination between the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, its member organizations, and press agencies. The journalists' opinions and suggestions were acknowledged and answered by the leaders of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, who committed to actively coordinating and implementing them.
