Vietnam among Top 10 International Gateways during Diwali Vacations

According to the Indian edition of the magazine, thanks to a myriad of beaches, forests, paddy farms, and historical monuments, Vietnam has made its way into the bucket lists of many travellers over the past few years.
“Depending on which part of the country you’re in, you could find yourself trekking through forests and having a tete-a-tete with mountains or lazing at the beach reapplying sunscreen,” Travel + Leisure said.
The magazine also recommended Vietnam for its cheap cuisine.
"The food here is incredibly inexpensive, and we recommend trying banh xeo, banh mi, pho, and cha ca at one of the many food stalls lined up on every street," it said.

Currently, there are direct flights from major Indian cities to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Some services take around four hours and 50 minutes from New Delhi to Hanoi.
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on June 15 officially opened a direct route between the two countries, with its first flight departing from Hanoi and landing at the Indira Gandhi international airport in New Delhi at 2:45pm (local time).
Every week, its flights between Hanoi and New Delhi are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while those between Ho Chi Minh City and the Indian capital Thursday and Saturday.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the total number of visitors between India and Vietnam in 2019 reached 319,000, up 35 percent year-on-year. Most Vietnamese tourists visited New Delhi, VietnamPlus said.
Other destinations in the list were Singapore, Bhutan, Nepal, the UAE, Malaysia, Oman, Thailand, Seychelles and Maldives./.
