The program is chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil. Vietnam Day in Brazil is part of the national promotion program "Vietnam Day Abroad" which has been organized in 20 countries and territories since 2010.

Held from November 15-17 to commemorate 35 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Brazil, the event aimed to showcase Vietnam's unique cultural values to both Brazilian and international audiences. The event highlighted Vietnam’s rich heritage and aspirations for global integration and development through a variety of exhibitions, cultural experiences, and art performances. It featured 10 main cultural exchange activities, such as photo exhibitions on Vietnam-Brazil relations, UNESCO-recognized world heritage sites in Vietnam, and displays celebrating the traditions of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups.

Visitors had the opportunity to experience traditional Vietnamese lacquerware, Dong Ho paintings, toy figurines (to he), and the unique 11th-century art form of water puppetry. They also explored Vietnamese coffee and enjoyed an art performance program featuring traditional Vietnamese lion dances, folk songs, and martial arts demonstrations. Additionally, Brazilian artists performed traditional music and dance.
