Another highlight of the Conference is the adoption the Ministerial Declaration at the closing session on Oct 16, also known as the Solfagnano Charter.

The Minister in charge of Persons with Disabilities of Italy Alessandra Locatelli highly appreciated Vietnam as a country with many outstanding achievements in promoting and protecting the rights and interests of people with disabilities, having many similarities with Italy in this field and the willingness to share contributing to the success of the conference.

In addition to the G7 Ministers, the host country Italy also invited Ministers from 4 other countries including Chile, Kenya, Tunisia and Vietnam, European Commission (EC), International Development Association (IDA) and Environmental Protection Fund (EDF).
