President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Nguyen Phuong Nga has hosted a reception for Iranian Ambassador Ali Akbar Nazari in Hanoi.
During the February 25 meeting, Nga congratulated Ali Akbar Nazari on his accreditation as the Iranian Ambassador to Vietnam, and expressed a hope that the diplomat will complete his tasks, contributing to enhancing the relations between the two countries.
For his part, the ambassador lauded Vietnam for its socio-economic achievements over the past time, as well as the country’s increasing role and position in the international arena.
He pledged to make all-out efforts during his tenure in Vietnam to contribute to the bilateral ties.
The two sides also touched upon the organisation of activities to step up cooperation between Vietnam and Iran, and their peoples in particular, in the time ahead. /.
