General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security on April 29 chaired a ceremony to announce decisions issued by the Prime Minister on the promotion of Major General Le Quoc Hung and Major General Le Tan Toi to Deputy Ministers of Public Security.

Mr. Hung, 54 years old, is the Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Central Police Committee's Inspection Committee. Before that, he worked as a deputy director and then police director of Thua Thien Hue province.

Major General Le Tan Toi, 51 years old, is a PhD in law. He spent many years working at the Police Department of Bac Lieu Province, taking turns as deputy directors and directors. He is the Head of Bac Lieu Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Member of National Assembly's National Defense and Security Committee, Member of Bac Lieu Provincial Standing Committee.

In October 2019, General Toi was mobilized and appointed by the Ministry of Public Security to hold the position of Director of Personnel Department.

Minister To Lam affirmed that Major General Le Quoc Hung and Major General Le Tan Toi are well-trained senior public security officers, who have good morals, firm political stance as well as plentiful practical working experience in units at the grassroots level. During their careers, they have made great contributions to the course of security protection, national construction and defense, according to Ministry of Public Security.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam congratulated the two newly-appointed Deputy Ministers of Public Security.

He also urged the two new Deputy Ministers to heighten their sense of responsibility, set good examples for all public security officers and soldiers, and join the Public Security Central Party Committee, leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and all public security officers to successfully fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party, the State and the people to the entire Public Security Forces.

The Ministry of Public Security currently has eight deputy ministers including: Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Major General Le Quoc.
