The celebration was attended by Saleh Mohamed Ahmed Al Saqri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Vietnam, Truong Quang Hoai Nam, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Central Committee for External Relations, Nguyen Minh Hang, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, diplomatic representatives in Hanoi and representatives of agencies that have contributed to Vietnam - Oman relations.

In his remark, the Oman ambassador reviewed the important steps in Oman - Vietnam's bilateral cooperation. Diplomatic and political relations have been continuously consolidated through the exchange of official delegations.

Regarding economic ties, the two countries established the Vietnam - Oman Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation, and have signed 10 agreements and 3 Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation in many fields.

Recently, the two countries signed a bilateral visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic passports, special passports, and official passports, making an important contribution to enhancing the exchange of delegations.

In the past two years, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam and Oman have continued to strengthen their ties, as demonstrated by Vietnam's medical aid for Oman during the pandemic and Oman's support for Vietnam's central provinces hit by natural disasters.

Appreciating the two countries' good relations and believing in the potential for further cooperation, the Oman ambassador and the Vietnamese assistant minister hope that the two countries would continue to boost cooperation in all fields.
