Chairman of Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association in Dong Nai Province Nguyen Van Thang said to share difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic with Thai people, the association has called for and received 15,000 medical masks from its members. These masks were then transported to the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City.
Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City Apirat Sugondhabhirom said that although Vietnam is experiencing the new Covid-19 wave, the country, including Dong Nai Province has still supported Thailand in fighting against the pandemic. He added that the donation would soon be delivered to Thai people.
Earlier, on May 11, Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association in Dong Nai Province also handed over 25,000 medical masks to Lao people through the Consulate General of Laos in Ho Chi Minh City.

Chairman of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association in Dong Nai Province Do Dang Tuoc said the association has helped with the situation in Laos and now wants to share their goodwill with the suffering Thai people.
At the handover ceremony, Lao Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Phimpha Keomixay extended thanks to the association for its valuable assistance, adding that Vietnam, including Dong Nai Province, has supported Laos through practical activities such as sending health workers and providing medical equipment and supplies to the country. The aid would soon be transported to residents in Laos, especially ones in Champasak, Dong Nai’s twinned province.
