Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai, an overseas Vietnamese living in Malaysia for 12 years, said that the association has always taken care of the health and spiritual life of OVs through many practical programs such as providing legal consultancy and organizing the Spring Festival or Full Moon Festival.

Going to Malaysia to work for a multinational company, another expat, Trinh Thi Hop expressed her happiness after holding the blood test results from this service in her hand.

Hop said that after nearly three years working in Malaysia, she feels supported when living in the Vietnamese community. Participating in this free medical examination day, she received dedicated health advice from doctors.

Currently, more than 30,000 Vietnamese people are living, studying, and working in Malaysia, statistics showed. The Vietnamese community here has made important contributions to the local economy, connecting and supporting each other, preserving Vietnamese culture, and participating in community and social activities.

The MVFA was set up on March 8, 2022, and now has 200 members. The association represents the Vietnamese community in Malaysia and connects the community with the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia.
