In his presentation, he used spices frequently found in India, with the exception of Vietnamese fish sauce and pepper, to highlight the culinary cultural interchange and parallels between Vietnam and India.

Chef Thong also served vegetarian fresh spring rolls to meet the preferences of the majority of the Indian population.

At the event, Vietnamese firms introduced a variety of instant noodles, coffee, fruit juices, and energy beverages.

The Vietnamese Food Festival, held over two days, is part of the Indian International Food & Hospitality Expo (IHE) 2024. With about 1,000 exhibitors and a projected attendance of 20,000 to 25,000 people, IHE 2024 is a wonderful opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to market their food and promote Vietnam as a desirable destination.

Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counselor of Vietnam in India expressed his hope that this fair will encourage Vietnamese businesses to actively participate in trade promotion programs organized by the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in India and the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, thereby increasing bilateral trade.

According to him, India is a massive market. Therefore, fairs and culinary programs will increase the Indian population's familiarity with Vietnam, allowing Vietnamese firms to create their brand and validate the quality of their products.

At the opening ceremony of the Indian International Food & Hospitality Expo (IHE) 2024 on August 3, Vietnam was chosen as the partner country of IHE 2024. Activities included organizing booths to promote products, hosting the Vietnamese Food Festival, and featuring culinary performances by renowned Vietnamese chefs.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of the India Expo Centre & Mart noted that this expo will set new milestones for India's economy as the South Asian nation successfully hosted the G20 Summit and reaffirmed its commitment to the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - The World is One Family”.
