Vietnamese Intellectuals in Netherlands Discuss Application of Digital Technology

Recently, at the Embassy of Vietnam in the Netherlands, the Vietnam Association of Science-Technology and Information Technology organized scientific activities with two topics "Big data, artificial intelligence" and "Climate change".
At the event, speakers and members discussed the applications of digital technology, artificial intelligence to specific jobs, approaches and experiences in application deployment.
The issue of climate change is also a topic of great interest to the science event because it is directly related to Vietnam with great challenges.
Attending the event, Ambassador Pham Viet Anh congratulated and appreciated the efforts of Vietnamese intellectuals. He appreciated the role of Association of Science-Technology and Information Technology in the community, in connecting with Dutch and Vietnamese partners, contributing to the development of both countries.
The Ambassador introduced the effective relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands over the past 50 years, especially the strategic cooperation in the field of "Response to climate change and water management", "Sustainable agriculture and food security."
Ambassador Pham Viet Anh encouraged and suggested the forms and topics of activities for the Association, especially the issues that Vietnam desperately needs to rise up, take shortcuts.
The Ambassador affirmed that the Embassy is always a home and a reliable address for Vietnamese people and Vietnamese intellectuals to share, exchange and organize practical scientific activities for the community, contributing to the country.
After the meeting, there was an exchange between members of the Association and their families. They gathered around the BBQ kitchen.
The event has a warm atmosphere. It left many emotions in the hearts of young intellectuals, aroused the desire to dedicate to science, to life, to contribute to the Netherlands and Vietnam.
The Association of Science-Technology and Information Technology gathers Vietnamese intellectuals living and working in the Netherlands, in many scientific fields such as agriculture, electronics, semiconductors, informatics, energy, artificial intelligence. The goal of the Association is to create a network connecting intellectuals to share information, specialized and interdisciplinary experiences, help members with career opportunities in the Netherlands to develop together, contributing to the community and to the country. With the encouragement, and companionship of the Ambassador, the intellectuals gathered together since the end of 2022, planning to form the Association of Vietnamese intellectuals in the Netherlands. The Association was honored to meet with Vietnamese associations in the Netherlands, and report to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his official visit to the Netherlands in December 2022. The Association of Science-Technology and Information Technology was officially launched on February 5, with members meeting on an online platform. Since then, the Association has been operating regularly online. This is the first time the association has held an in-person meeting with the participation of the Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands. To date, the Association attracted more than 60 members. |
