Vietnamese Student Association in Germany Kicks Off New Term
After two working sessions at the Vietnamese Consulate in Frankfurt am Main, the Congress unanimously elected 21 members to the Executive Committee and seven to the Secretariat.
In addition, through their presentations on foreign affairs, connecting Vietnamese and German intellectuals, the journeys of studying abroad and preserving Vietnamese cultural identity, the Vietnamese Student Association in Germany (SIVIDUC) is honored to represent the youth studying and working in Germany.

In particular, SIVIDUC representatives discussed the changes in the study abroad path of Vietnamese youth, raising the idea of using the phrase "international students" to describe the community of Vietnamese students in Germany to express their solidarity and affection instead of the common phrases like "students" or "vocational students". This idea was highly appreciated by the officials at the Vietnamese Consulate in Frankfurt am Main.
At the Congress, SIVIDUC representatives also proposed many activities in the new term, including detailed plans for 2024. specifically, SIVIDUC plans to organize the SiviLiga Sports Festival in June, the European Youth and Student Camp – DASEIN in Munich, Germany in August, and the German Study Abroad Forum in December.
In his remarks, Nguyen Ba Cat - Member of the SIVIDUC Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Youth Union's School Committee, Vice Chairman, and Head of the Central Inspection Committee of the Vietnamese Student Association - hopes SIVIDUC continues to closely follow the direction of the Party Committee, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Federal Republic of Germany and engage with the Vietnamese community in Germany. He asked SIVIDUC to promote the "Student of Five Merits'" movement among all members and closely connect with the Central Office of the Vietnamese Student Association for the directions, policies and instructions from the Secretariat.
