Vietnamese Women Forum in Europe Supports People in Poland After Shopping Center Fire

The Vietnamese Women Forum in Europe (VWFE) reached out to the Vietnamese Association in Poland to support fellow Vietnamese here to overcome the consequences of the fire accident at a shopping center in the city of Warsaw last month.

Vietnamese Embassy in Poland Supports People in Re-issuing Documents

On June 16, VWFE Vice President Trinh Thi Mui met with Tran Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Poland to deliver the donation in support of the Vietnamese community who suffered from the fire accident in May.

Mui said that on the morning of May 12, VWFE Executive Board was in Madrid to attend the Global Women's Summit when they heard news about the fire accident. After learning that it caused great material damage and seriously affected the lives of members of the Vietnamese community in Poland, VWFE Executive Board issued a call for donations to its members throughout Europe.

With the spirit of solidarity and the will to help fellow Vietnamese to overcome difficulties, the members from 14 European countries actively responded to the call to raise money for donation. It is from the hearts of the members with the desire to partly support the people in need so they will soon stabilize their lives and rebuild their businesses.

Tran Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Poland, received the donation on behalf of the community. He was very touched by the kind actions of the VWFE members and committed to transferring their love and support to the families in need.

Witnessing the donation reception were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland and the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic. The amount of donation raised was EUR 7,100 (about US $7,605).
