Vietnamese Youths in Russia Showcase Talents and Innovative Spirit
The Youth Union's staff committee in the Russia on April 16 organized the final contest "Youth Melodies" with the participation of 16 best performances from Vietnamese student unions of many universities across Russia.

The contest was the first major activity of young Vietnamese people in Russia after more than two years of hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, aiming to mark the 91st anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931-26/3/2022), the 47th anniversary of the liberation of the south of Vietnam and national reunification (30/04/1975 - 30/04/2022), and the 72nd anniversary of the Vietnam-Russia diplomatic ties.
Lasting for more than a month, the contest attracted the participation of 16 best performances of Vietnamese students across Russia.
The best 16 performances featured the land and people of Vietnam, as well as the innovative spirit of Vietnamese youths in Russia.

According to Nguyen Viet Linh, secretary of the Union Committee in the Russian Federation, the contest is a playground for Youth Union members to exchange and strengthen solidarity, at the same time, create conditions to promote talents, culture and art for youth union members in Russia, help youth union members improve life skills and confidently assert themselves, as well as create opportunities for members participate in group activities, with high quality and entertainment after stressful study hours.
The contest entries in the final night are presented not only in live form but also in online form, creating opportunities for all union members and young people inside and outside Moscow to have the opportunity to join the competition. sing the tune of Vietnamese youth in Russia.
Right from the first day of the contest, it attracted more than 50 entries for the preliminary round, from delegations from all over the Russian Federation, such as Tyumen, Saint Petersburg, Rostov, Kaliningrad, Volgograd and Vladivostov.

Talked with VOV's reporter, Doan Thi Phi Nga, a student at the Moscow-based State University of Management shared her excitement when taking part in the contest.
"This is a very meaningful contest because it's been a long time since the Union Committee has had the opportunity to organize such activities for youth union members to show their talents. It's also an opportunity to help international students unite. We can meet and interact with many friends from other schools, in and out of Moscow. Our team has also been working hard for the past month to have a chance to perform in the final round.”
The serious and elaborately staged performances of the final round consist of various forms from dancing, singing, traditional Vietnamese folk art – ca tru singing which are a combination of traditional melodies and modern breaths.
The contest is a meaningful activity, which is expected and responded by the youth union members living and studying in the Russian Federation. The contest also marks the return of the youth union's activities after a 2-year hiatus due to the impact of Covid-19 and in the condition that Russia is entering a new normal phase.
