According to Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long, Vietnam's Internet businesses also mobilize, adapt, and grow constantly, transforming their model from infrastructure business development to platform business development, and reaching out to the world.

Over 25 years of development, Vietnam's Internet has transformed from a communication infrastructure into a digital infrastructure of the digital economy. Digital infrastructure will include broadband telecommunications infrastructure, cloud computing infrastructure, infrastructure for providing technology such as services, and infrastructure for digital platforms. The Internet is no longer only a tool for socio-economic development but has created a new development method for socio-economic development.

In the next stage, the information and communication industry, and management agencies and enterprises are responsible for building an Internet infrastructure that is technologically autonomous, widespread, modern, and secure. They also need to promote and protect the security of data flow and direct the integration process of the Internet into all socio-economic development activities.

The whole society takes responsibility for building and developing a safe and sustainable Internet in Vietnam. Society should consider building and developing the Internet as building and developing a digital life for the digital transformation period.

According to Vu Hoang Lien, President of the Vietnam Internet Association, in the past 25 years, the development of the Internet in Vietnam is undeniable. The Internet has brought Vietnam opportunities and innovations. The most obvious is the transformation of society, service models, and applications on the Internet, bringing about rapid economic, social, and cultural changes.

The Internet is now not only for everyone but also for everything, for every field and every industry. Digital transformation is a new development method to speed up and shorten the country's industrialization and modernization process.

Regarding IP/ASN, from three independent networks of the first ISPs in 2002, as of October 2022, there are a total of 791 organizations and enterprises using independent IP/ASN. There are a total of 533 independent AS networks in Vietnam, which are nuclear networks connected to form the Internet system of Vietnam. The number of IPv4 addresses in Vietnam has grown to more than 16 million, ranking 8th in the Asia-Pacific region and 29th globally.

Internet development has led to the global depletion of IPv4 addresses since 2011. In anticipation of the inevitable trend in IPv6 application, Vietnam has promoted and prepared for the transition of the IPv6 new generation Internet addresses since 2008 with the overall goal of "Vietnam's Internet operating safely and stably on the basis ofbased on IPv6 technology from 2019."

After more than 10 years of implementing the National Action Plan on IPv6, Vietnam is now a country with remarkable results in IPv6 applications.

By the end of October 2022, Vietnam's IPv6 application rate reached about 53%, ranking 2nd in ASEAN and 8th globally. The conversion to use the new generation of Internet addresses and protocols is a bold and right step that Vietnam has made, helping the country to keep pace with developed countries in the world; affirming its position in the region and internationally.

Assessing the development of Vietnam's Internet, Paul Wilson, Director of the Asia - Pacific Network Information Center said that Vietnam's Internet has changed rapidly. The rate of IPv6 usage in Vietnam is also highly appreciated by the international community. Organizations, governments, and people all benefit from the Internet. Google believes in the future of the Internet and accompanies the development of Vietnam's Internet.
