Chadwick Boseman’s death

Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press.

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, his family said in a statement.

"A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," his family said in the statement. "From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more — all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honour of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."

Boseman had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis, as reported by CBC. CA.

Chadwick Boseman’s early life

According to The Famous People, Chadwick Boseman was born as the only child of African American parents Carolyn and Leroy Boseman on November 29, 1976. His parents encouraged him to pursue his passion for acting from a very young age.

He is also known for appearing as Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film franchise surrounding the character, including ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and Black Panther’.

After completing his studies, he began his acting career by doing a number of TV programs. Soon, he ventured into films as well. For his brilliant acting performances, the actor has won many award nominations till date. Besides acting, he enjoys playing basketball, the sport he played while growing up in South Carolina. After this, he appeared in an episode each of ‘Third Watch’, ‘Law & Order’ and ‘CSI: NY’ respectively. In 2008, he was cast as Nathaniel "Nate" Ray in the series ‘Lincoln Heights’. The same year, the actor did the flick ‘The Express’. He next played Sergeant McNair in the series ‘Persons Unknown’. In 2011, he got featured in the TV programs ‘Castle’, ‘Fringe’, ‘Detroit’ and ‘Justified’ respectively.
