Young workers make proposals to draft documents for 12th Party Congress
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee on October 21st organised a meeting in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau to collect young workers’ feedback to the draft documents for submission to the 12th National Party Congress.
During the meeting, the workers discussed solutions to accelerate economic re-structuring in combination with a renewal in the growth model as well as an increase in the productivity, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.
The young workers also urged the draft documents to put forth solutions to complete the institution for the development of the socialist-oriented market economy, the development and application of science and technology, the training of young labourers in line with an increase in the quality of human resources.
An increase in corruption prevention, ensuring people’s right of democracy during socio-economic development in addition to the reinforcement of security and defence as well as maintenance of national sovereignty were also discussed by the young workers during the meeting.
A majority of ideas focused on the Party and State policies towards young labour forces, highlighting some groups and corporations using a large number of young labourers.
Addressing the meeting, Nguyen Manh Dung, Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Executive Committee appreciated the spirit of responsibility and intellectual of young workers in contributing ideas to the draft documents, affirming that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Secretariat would receive and collect all the ideas to submit them to the Documentation Sub-Committee for the 12th National Party Congress./.
