Additional USD6 million to support Vietnam - Korea industrial technical vocational college

(VNF) - The project supporting Vietnam - Korea industrial technical vocational college in Vinh city, Nghe An province began on January 21st in Vinh city, Nghe An province by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam.

After granting two loans for this educational unit in 2001 and 2007, this year’s project value at USD6 million will build a 3-storey experimental workshops and provide equipment for 8 faculties, assist training courses for domestic teachers in Korea’s facilities, and dispatching Korean experts to transferring techniques. For the long strategy, it is expected to be upgrade to a University by meeting all standards and criteria.

During past years, the Vietnam - Korea industrial vocational college has been affirming its position in the system of vocational schools nationwide, awarded the Second class Labor medal in 2013.

Mr. Chang Jae Yun, Chief Representative of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam hopes that the College will becoming a symbol of Vietnam - Korea friendship and cooperation, a trustworthy address of enterprises and trainees, contributes to Nghe An province's socio-economic development.

So far, the College has provided Korean businesses in Vietnam a great deal of well-qualified labors at intermediate and elementary level who are working at Samsung (Bac Ninh province), Posco (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province), Hyundai Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh province), or by Korean factories in Nghe An province like Haivina Kim Lien, Prex Vinh, Emtech Vinh, and BSE Nam Cam./.
