The Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations and the municipal Vietnam - France Friendship Association have just organized a friendship exchange delegation in France.
This was a trip of practical significance to promote the cooperative relationship between French-language schools in Can Tho and schools in France to improve the quality of education, expand opportunities to learn French for students; at the same time, enhance exchange activities to learn experiences and culture between teachers and students between educational facilities in particular and Vietnam - France in general.

The delegation included Le Thi Thanh Giang, president of the Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations; Nguyen Phuc Tang, deputy director of the municipal Department of Education and Training, president of the Can Tho's Vietnam - France Friendship Association; with representatives of management staff and teachers of some primary, secondary and high schools in the city with bilingual French teaching programs.

Within the framework of the friendship exchange trip in France, through the connection from the "Grandis et Deviens" association (G&D), the delegation visited and worked with a number of primary schools in France such as Doulevant-le-Chateau School, Dommartin-le-Franc School, Du Vieux Chene Public Primary School; at the same time, promoting the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between 3 primary schools in Can Tho and the abovementioned three primary schools in France.
Le Thi Thanh Giang, president of the Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations, hopes that through cooperation between schools, it will contribute to maintaining and developing the movement of teaching and learning French in Can Tho; promote and popularize the values of the Francophone community, create opportunities for students to study and communicate as well as take advantage of resources to support teaching and learning French.

Visiting and working with G&D, Giang hoped that in addition to promoting cooperation in the field of education, this organization will continue to pay attention and support Can Tho to implement more projects and programs that contribute to improving capacity, taking care of community health, supporting life, and creating a foundation for the city's socio-economic development.
Since 2013, the Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations and G&D have signed a memorandum of understanding and agreed to implement free medical examination and treatment programs for the elderly in difficult circumstances, and provide scholarships to poor children; support the local Social Work Center and the charity class, contributing to helping children have the opportunity to learn more determination to rise up in life.
In addition to medical examination and treatment programs,G&D also supports international students in France, opens French language courses for students, with a total project budget and program implemented in Can Tho in recent times of more than 1 billion VND.

On this occasion, the delegation visited and worked with Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 and the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in France to coordinate the implementation of many practical and useful programs for the youth and student communities between the two countries, actively contributing to promoting the good image of Vietnam to French and international friends.
