With 5,228 new COVID-19 patients, the UK becomes the country with the largest new cases reported within 24 hours in the world, raising total infections to nearly 85,000 cases.
Meanwhile, 737 more lives have been claimed, which is second only to the US (832).
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is discharged today in London and will continue with the treatment on the outskirt of Chequers.

US experts have warned that Britain would become the country to suffer the most serious consequences of COVID-19 in Europe, which can account for more than 40% of deaths on the continent.

Malaysia still has the highest number of infections (4,683), followed by the Philippines (4.648), Indonesia (4,241), Thailand (2,551), Singapore (2,532). Timor-Leste has the lowest infection number of the region, with only 2 cases detected.
Regarding death tolls, Indonesia has the highest (373), the Philipines (297), Malaysia (76).
April 12 witnesses Indonesia has the largest new infections (399), followed by Singapore (233), the Philippines (220), Malaysia (153).
Meanwhile, the Philippines reported the highest new deaths (50), Indonesia to coming next (46).
