Field hospital in Hai Duong Covid-19 hotspot dissolved
Director of Hai Duong Medical Technical Hospital Nguyen Hang Lan said the hospital completed its mission, adding that after dissolution, the hospital would be disinfected in accordance with the regulations and receive patients back for normal medical examination and treatment, Vnexpress reported.

Field Hospital No. 2 was put into operation from January 29, after 22 hours of the establishment. The hospital treated both mildly and critically-ill Covid-19 patients. It was modernly equipped including the ECMO system, intensive care unit, etc. Its testing capacity reached 1000 samples per day.
The hospital received full support from infection control to intensive care from experts at Hanoi-based Bach Mai Hospital, according to Ms. Lan.
On the first day after coming into operation, the hospital received 29 patients. After 2 months, it treated 376 patients, the eldest one was 92 years old and the smallest one was 21 days old. 52 patients were children, 36 patients were over 60 years old and 38 patients had underlying diseases.
The hospital recorded 140 patients with lung damage. In particular, the intensive care unit treated 12 critically ill patients, one of whom was extremely critical, but he/she completely recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
"There were no deaths. The medical staff at the hospital are all safe," said Ms. Lan.
There have been so far 323 patients recovered, the remaining 53 were transferred to other facilities for further treatment.

Previously, Field Hospital No.01, which was set up at Chi Linh city’s Medical Center was also disbanded.
Since it was established on February 2, the hospital had received 300 COVID-19 patients, 250 of them had completely recovered.
There so far has been only Field Hospital No.03 still in operation.
According to Deputy Director of Hai Duong Department of Health Nguyen Thi Trung Chinh, as of March 28, the province has recorded 726 Covid-19 transmission cases, of which 621 people have been discharged from the hospital. Currently, the province only logs 1-2 cases per day.
One imported case of COVID-19 was detected in the past 12 hours to 6 pm March 28, who was put into quarantine after entry, according to the Health Ministry. The patient entered through the Ha Tien international border gate and is now hospitalized in the southern province of Kien Giang. The national count increased to 2,591, of which 1,603 cases were domestic infections. Meanwhile, 2,308 COVID-19 patients have been given the all clear by now, and the death toll remains at 35. Among those still under treatment, 30 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 38 twice and 57 thrice. A total of 44,833 people are being quarantined nationwide, with 483 at hospitals, 18,412 at concentrated facilities, and 25,938 at their accommodations. According to the National Expanded Immunisation Programme, an additional 278 people received COVID-19 vaccine shots, bringing the total number of people having got the shots to 44,278. Vaccination work is underway from March 8 to 27 in 19 provinces and centrally-run cities. |
