French-Vietnamese Woman Miraculously Finds her Mother
Kallisté's post on Facebook to find her mother was widely shared, attracting tens of thousands of likes, comments and shares. Netizens all want to contribute to spreading information, hoping that the girl will find her blood mother.
A Dream from Paris
In the last days of August, Kallisté and her Dutch boyfriend landed in Tan Son Nhat airport. They were received by Do Hong Phuc (27 years old) an architect who often supports French people to find their identity. Before coming to Vietnam, Kallisté contacted Phuc and the reporter of Thanh Nien Newspaper.
According to the papers carefully preserved by Kallisté's adoptive parents for nearly 25 years, Kallisté's blood mother is called Pham Thi Ha. On November 7, 1998, Ha (declared in the papers as 24 years old at that time) gave birth to her child at Tu Du Hospital in Ho Chi Minh city and then named her daughter Pham Thi Thanh Truc.

Due to circumstances, the mother left her child at the hospital. Little Thanh Truc was taken to Tam Binh Child Care Center in Thu Duc district. Then the baby was adopted by a kind French couple.
With the new name Kallisté, the girl's life turned a new page. Kallisté grew up in the center of Paris under the immense love of her adoptive parents. “They gave me all the best. I am very lucky and happy when I am adopted and loved unconditionally", said Kallisté.
As time went by, the girl's curiosity about her homeland continued to grow, prompting her to learn more about the S-Shaped Land. Visiting Vietnam twice, she desired even more strongly to find her blood mother. She decided to come here for the third time, giving herself an "extremely difficult task" - to find her biological mother.
During the 6 months before returning to Vietnam, she spent a lot of time planning, researching and connecting with Phuc in Ho Chi Minh City.
Miracle Happens in Just 1 Day
Just a few hours after Kallisté's post to find her mother appeared on social networks, Phuc's phone received a series of calls and messages providing information about cases where families once left their children at Tu Duc Hospital at that time, but they still don’t find any useful clue.
The next day, Phuc received a call from My Trinh (23 years old, living in District 12) informing him that the mother giving the child in the posted photo was her aunt, who is currently 48 years old and living in Tan Binh district.
The information after confirmation between the two sides coincided, from the mother's name to the fact that this person had left the child at the hospital at the time mentioned in the article. The picture Trinh provided surprised everyone because the two people's faces have many similarities.

After that, the reporter from Thanh Nien Newspaper also verified the information and supported them to do DNA tests at a center in Tan Binh District. At the night of August 31, holding the test results in hand with the conclusion “There is a blood relationship between mother and daughter", the two were immersed in joy that could not be expressed in words.
“I really do not know how to describe my feeling right now. I can only say that I am very happy, because I finally found my blood mother. Thank you to all the kind Vietnamese people who have helped and accompanied me on my journey to find my mother,” said Kallisté.
For her part, Ha was extremely choked with the results. She said that from the moment she saw Kallisté's photo, she had a premonition that this was her daughter. She confided that in the past, she left her child at the hospital and this is the regret that has followed her ever since.
“Now that I see her, I can only say sorry. If I have to get on my knees to beg her forgiveness, I'm okay with it," she said.
