When visiting Hue citadel, besides the activity of admiring the antique and solemn citadel, visitors may choose to enjoy the revival of Nguyen Dynasty's soldier mounting ceremony performed by artists from Hue Traditional Royal Theater of Art. (Photo: VN Express)
According to Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the ceremony is performed by a team of soldiers, including a captain, a military officer, and 12 soldiers. Because the show is a reenactment ceremony, there is a small orchestra of 7 artists accompanying the group of soldiers. (Photo: VN Express)

According to the book named Kham Dinh Dai Nam Hoi Dien Su Le (the book to store all political documents of the dynasty), under the Nguyen dynasty, the guard and turn of soldiers were strictly regulated. The guard who did not complete his mission would be scolded. (Photo: VN Express)

In addition to helping visitors get a deeper understanding of the activities in the forbidden palace of the Nguyen Dynasty, this activity also contributes to preserving and promoting the intangible cultural value of Hue citadel's heritage. (Photo: VN Express)
