Hundreds of Vietnamese in Brazil Gather to Celebrate Year of Tiger
The meeting welcomed nearly 150 Vietnamese in São Paulo and some other states. This is the first meeting of the community after two years due to the pandemic.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador of Vietnam to Brazil Pham Thi Kim Hoa emphasized that despite difficulties that the community had to face last year, remittances sent to the country still reached USD 12.5 billion, a 10% increase compared to the previous year. This is proof that whatever difficulties they face, overseas people always look to their homeland. The high amount of remittances is a good outcome of the persistence and determination of Vietnamese businesses in Brazil
