Here, the members of the delegation were tested for Covid-19. After receiving the results, the delegation will be taken by the private car of the organizing committee to the athletes' village. The members of the delegation were isolated for an additional 3 days and continued to be tested for Covid-19. If the results are negative for Covid-19, athletes will officially be able to practice and compete.
The Vietnamese sports delegation attended the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with a total of 43 members. In the delegation, there are 2 doctors, 4 officials, 1 reporter, 18 athletes, the remaining 18 are coaches, experts and team leaders.

In 2020, the Vietnamese Association in Japan contacted a number of major carriers in Japan to create a phone network called Sim Gold. The purpose of the Sim Gold project is to connect and support the Vietnamese community in Japan together. Especially, when there are difficult problems in life, this is a hotline for Vietnamese people to contact the Vietnamese Association in Japan, from which the association will bring information about people's difficulties to mass organizations. In addition, the Sim Gold project also minimizes the difficulties for Vietnamese people in accessing phone services in Japan at low cost, high speed and simplifies procedures when all services are in Vietnamese.
Due to the complicated Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnamese people can register online on the Association's website, or on Simvang.jp website. The minimum price of a gold sim is 1380 yen (US$12.61) and there are different prices for everyone to choose to suit their needs. When owning a Sim Gold, the user becomes a member of the Vietnamese Association in Japan and will receive all the help of the association.
