The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on November 30 organized the 5th forum with the topic "Solutions to improve the efficiency of financial management and union assets" in Hanoi. This is one of ten forums held before the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

Speaking at the forum, Phan Van Anh, vice president of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said. “In addition to the results that have been achieved, in the coming time, the management of union finances and assets needs more effective solutions. This will help build union financial resources strong enough to carry out the tasks of the Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term."

The 5th forum's theme is "Solutions to improve the efficiency of financial management and union assets."

Tran Van Nhu, vice president of the Trade Union of Vietnam Airlines, believed that the strength of digitalization in financial work should be further utilized. He shared successful experiences in implementing digitization work at the unit, such as promoting the digitization of financial documents and archival records, using digital signatures, and strengthening the connection between the server at the Trade Union and the local trade unions.

Le Dinh Hung, vice president of the Hanoi Confederation of Labor, said a number of solutions need to be researched by units soon. They can be applied in trade union finance work. The solutions include all levels of trade unions focusing on solutions to improve the efficiency of collecting trade union fees. Trade unions at all levels need to balance annual funding sources allocate expenditure items according to regulations and organize expenditures to ensure correct regimes, standards, and norms.

Nguyen Chi Cong, vice president of the Confederation of Labor of Nghe An province, said that to do well in financial work, the Union needs to synchronously deploy many measures. Recently, the Confederation of Labor of Nghe An province has effectively applied a number of solutions, such as the investor determining the investment scale right from the beginning when forming the project, avoiding multiple adjustments, and taking up a lot of time for the project to be approved. The Trade Union needs to establish a project management and administration board to develop plans and assign specific tasks to members.
