US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink makes traditional mooncakes combining Vietnamese and American ingredients to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival and the silver jubilee of US-Vietnam relations, VN Express cited.
According to The World and Vietnam Magazine, Ambassador Kritenbrink said that this is his third fall in Vietnam and fall, for him, is also the most enjoyable time in this country.
Personally, he always likes traditional cakes and in this special year - the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the US, he decided to make a moon cake combining traditional Vietnamese ingredients with quintessential American ingredients.
The Ambassador shares that the mold he uses is made from a woodcarver in the old town of Hanoi with a symbol commemorating a quarter-century journey of Vietnam-US relations.
