The Japanese language class was opened at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted from 2021. Up to now, more than 100 students are studying in grade 10, 11 and 12. Although the entrance exam is in English, during the learning process, students are conscious of training and striving to achieve high results, with good academic performance accounting for 95%.

To motivate and encourage students in their studies, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province coordinated to mobilize two Japanese businesses, Yokoi Mould Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Nichirin Vietnam Co., Ltd., to award scholarships to 10 students in Japanese language class who are in difficult circumstances but have great performance for a total of VND 20 million (VND 2 million for each scholarship).

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, the President of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Bac Giang Pham Van Thinh highlighted the better and more comprehensive relationship and friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

Students learning Japanese at school will be the next generation, maintaining and developing that relationship. Thinh expressed his hope that students will strive harder to achieve higher results in their studies, and at the same time spend time researching and understanding more about culture, science, and the good values ​​of the Japanese people as well as the Vietnam-Japan friendship.

In the coming time, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Bac Giang will continue to provide annual scholarships and promote cultural exchange and connection activities between the two peoples.
