Vietnam nearly 45 localities reopen their schools after long time closures due to Covid-19 break

There have been 45 provinces in the country making decisions to reopen their schools on April 23 after long time closures due to Covid-19 pandemic. Today it was informed that 30 provinces and cities reopened schools nationwide.

MOET website informed on April 23 that the Ministry of Education and Training sent a dispatch to the heads of the Departments of Education and Training of provinces and centrally run cities, asking them to enhance measures to ensure safety for pupils, students, and teachers when they return schools.

Some first provinces let schools reopen on April 20 to 23 including Thai Binh, Ca Mau, Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Hai Duong, Hai Phong. Almost pupils enabled to return schools are in second, high schools and higher levels, remained pre-schools and primary are still kept suspended till after May 4.

Today April 27, schools in 30 provinces and cities reopened after a long break due to the novel coronavirus outbreaks to ensure the shool year can be finished before July 15 2020.

These localities are: An Giang, Bac Lieu, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Bac Kan, Binh Dinh, Dien Bien, Dong Thap, Gia Lai, Ha Tinh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Kien Giang, Lang Son, Long An, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thua Thien-Hue, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Long, Cao Bang, Bac Ninh, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, and Kon Tum

Students returned their schools today mostly in grade 9 and 12 supposed to take more time and lessons for their high school's graduation.

The ministry required pupils not go to school if they are undertaking quarantine at home or requested by medical facilities.

Pupils, teachers, and educational workers are also asked to stay at home, inform schools and medical facilities for check-up and treatment if they display symptoms of fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

Families should check temperatures for their kindergarten kids. Pupils, students, teachers, and educational workers have to check body temperature before school time. Face mask wearing is mandatory at schools.

The ministry also tasked educational facilities to maintain a safe distancing between pupils and avoid gatherings during intervals
