According to VGP News, ministries, agencies and people’s committees at all levels were asked to strictly enforce legal regulations on children, regularly review and renew related policies and regulations and raise public awareness of child protection policies and laws.
Over the past time, the implementation of children's rights in general and the protection of children in particular have been concerned by the Party and the State. It has also achieved many important results. However, a number of child issues still exist such as: violence, sexual abuse, cyber abuse, accidental death, child labor abuse.

Heads of agencies and local authorities must be responsible for child deaths caused by injuries, serious violation of children’s rights, and violence and sex abuse as well as promptly deal with children’s right violation case, reported by Financial Times.
In the Directive, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to review, amend and supplement policies and laws on social assistance for children with special circumstances; organize appropriate forms to listen to children's opinions and aspirations while developing and implementing child programs, policies and laws.

The Ministry of Health was asked to implement policies and measures to prevent and combat malnutrition among children under 5 years old.
The Ministry of Education and Training shall implement policies and measures to minimize the drop-out of children, especially in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall propagate and educate ethics, lifestyles, family behavior, and role models of adults; educate children to preserve and promote the national cultural identity and the values of the fine traditions of Vietnamese families, reported by Ethnic News.
Viet Nam was the first country in Asia and the second in the world to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) in 1990.
The rate of casualties in under-five-year-old children has reduced by 75% in the past 30 years.
Viet Nam has also eliminated many dangerous diseases thanks to vaccination such as polio and newborn tetanus.
The rate of children suffering from stunting due to malnutrition in Vietnam has also been cut by half.
