According to Nguyen Khanh Ly, Head of the Vietnam Women's Union in the Federal Republic of Germany, every year in July, expatriates always turn towards their homeland to pay tribute and express gratitude for the immense contributions of veterans and wounded soldiers in the cause of national liberation and struggle.

The Vietnam Women's Union in the Federal Republic of Germany has established a fundraising fund under the theme "Gratitude for the Source" to collectively remember their homeland on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
At the program, representatives of the Vietnam Women's Union in the Federal Republic of Germany presented 60 gift sets to families of wounded soldiers, martyrs, and notable victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in the district. Each set includes VND 1.5 million and a gift bag, with a total value of VND 100 million.
