According to Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach, due to the Russian conflict in Ukraine, the Vietnamese community was heavily affected. Leaders of the Party, the State, and organizations in the country have always cared for and encouraged this community. The Vietnamese Embassy is also very concerned about how to help people to overcome difficulties.

The ceremony of giving money to help citizens currently staying in Ukraine is one way the Embassy seeks to aid the Vietnamese expats.

Ambassador Thach emphasized that material support is modest but hopes to partly encourage the community in difficult times.

The Ambassador expressed his hope that with the tradition of solidarity and mutual support, the Vietnamese community in Ukraine will continue to support each other to stay, overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives when the conflict ends.

Speaking on behalf of the citizens receiving support money, Bui Van Sau expressed his emotion and appreciation for the concern and solidarity of the Vietnam Red Cross, the people in the country, and the Embassy. He believed that material help to Vietnamese people in the context of conflict and loss is very valuable, demonstrating the care, love, and tradition of the Vietnamese people.

Sau also conveyed his sincere thanks to the Vietnam Red Cross and domestic organizations for their timely and meaningful attention and material assistance.
