The president of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization (VUFO) Nguyen Phuong Nga and the President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association Tran Van Tuy visited and gave their best wishes to Laos Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang, as well as all officers and staff working in the Laos Embassy in Hanoi and their families.

Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nga and Mr. Tran Van Tuy also expressed pleasure and pride in the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States and the Peoples of Vietnam and Laos, which has been constantly strengthened, developed to become more and more sustainable. This relation is an invaluable asset for the further generations.

In particular, over the past time, in the face of the complicated COVID-19 pandemic, the two countries still keep exchanging, sharing, and cooperating with each other in many fields through maintaining high-level visits and contacts, as well as promoting the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

On this occasion, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nga and Mr. Tran Van Tuy also congratulated Laos on successfully organizing the 11th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolution Party and the 9th National Assembly election. Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang congratulated the 13th National Congress of Vietnam's Communist Party and the 14th National Assembly, which was at the time of the visit working to elect key State leaders.

The two sides shared the expectation that, along with the success of major events, Vietnam and Laos would join hands to promote and strengthen the cohesion between the two peoples, contributing to nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga and President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association Tran Van Tuy thanked the Laos Embassy to Vietnam in general and the Laos Ambassador in particular for his interest in and participation in recent people-to-people diplomacy activities. They affirmed that together with the Embassy of Laos and Laos partner organizations, their organization would strive to build the friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, which is evergreen and everlasting.

Laos Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang considered the deep affection, support, and concern of VUFO and the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association as a valuable encouragement to the Laos Embassy. This is also the motivation for the Embassy to accomplish its tasks, contributing to Vietnam-Laos friendship consolidation and development.
