The donation was a gift to help Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea (RoK) overcome difficulties caused by the novel coronavirus.
The handover ceremony was attended by officials of State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese; former Vietnamese Ambassador to RoK Pham Tien Van, who is current Vice President of Vietnam – Korea Friendship Associations; and representatives from two companies CME and HSV.
At the event, CME General Director said this donation is to help Vietnamese community in the RoK to overcome the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and hope that Vietnamese compatriates will be safe.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Hoanh Nam emphasized that the gift serves as a great source of spiritual encouragement for the Vietnamese community in the RoK as the country is stepping up COVID-19 prevention and control.

Not ever before, the social responsibility of the enterprises is clearly expressed as now, through their support to help the State Party, domestic people and overseas Vietnamese community in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak. This again confirms that Vietnamese expats are an inseparable part of the nation. the Deputy Chairman said.
Earlier, through the connection of the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association donated 5.000 medical masks to the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Korea.
