Exhibition honours Russian painter Tuman Zhumabaev - a friend of Vietnam

An exhibition entitled “Vietnam - A Call of the Soul” is taking place in Hanoi from August 15 to honour renowned painter Tuman Zhumabaev, a friend of Vietnam who recently passed away.

Tuman Zhumabaev was born in the village of Kyzyl-Tuu, Kirghiz SSR but moved to Russia’s St. Petersburg, back then known as Leningrad, and graduated from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1991.

He was the member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists, the Association of the US Portrait Painters, author of more than 50 personal exhibitions and has his own gallery. Source: worldvirtualmuseum. com
