First Vietnamese training course for Lao staff

In order to concretize an agreement signed between Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs and Laos’ Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the Lao Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare recently opened a Vietnamese training course for its staff in Vientiane.

In order to concretize an agreement signed between Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs and Laos’ Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the Lao Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare recently opened a Vietnamese training course for its staff in Vientiane.

This is the first Vietnamese course Laos’ Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare has opened to meet the increasing demand for communication in Vietnamese for the officials and staff of the ministry.

During the three-month Vietnamese training course, the 55 trainees will be provided basic skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing by teachers from Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Baykhame Khathiya said that the training course aims to help officials and staff of the Laos’ Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare obtain basic Vietnamese skills to exchange information, profession with their Vietnamese colleagues as well as with Vietnamese businesses and workers investing and working in Laos; contributing to promoting the traditional friendship relations, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and the two Governments in general and strengthen the cooperation between the two Ministries in particular.

After the training course, the trainees will have a short field trip in Vietnam.

The Deputy Minister also said that the second Vietnamese training course will be organized in early April 2016 with 56 registered trainees./.
