Deputy Minister of Transport (MOT) Le Anh Tuan has just signed Official Letter No. 4103/BGTVT-VT dated April 28, 2020 to Vietnam Road Administration; specialized management bureaus; Department of Transport of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government on the implementation of Directive No. 19/CT-TTg dated April 24, 2020 and concluding at the Government's Permanent Meeting on April 28, 2020 of the Prime Minister.
Accordingly, it implements the Prime Minister's Directive No. 19/CT-TTg of April 24, 2020 on the continued implementation of measures to prevent and control Covid - 19 in the new situation and conclusion by Prime Minister at the meeting on April 28, 2020. Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport requested agencies and units to implement measures to ensure passenger transport applied from 00:00 on April 29, 2020.
For inter-provincial passenger transport, in case of changes in frequency or destination restrictions, in the opinion of the People's Committee of the province, the city directly under the Central Government, the General Department of Roads of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam Railway, Vietnam Maritime, Vietnam inland waterway will require passenger transport units to adjust accordingly.

In the field of aviation, the Ministry of Transport announced to apply from 00:00 on April 29, 2020 to April 30, 2020: Flights Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa to increase the total frequency of airlines up to 28 flights (roundtrip)/day, according to Vietnamnet.
Routes Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City - Danang and vice versa increase the total frequency of flights to 8 flights (roundtrip)/day/flight. Flights to other localities, total flight frequency is 8 flights (roundtrip)/day/flight route.
From 00:00 on May 1, 2020 to May 15, 2020, for Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route and vice versa, the total flight frequency is 36 flights (roundtrip)/day. For routes Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City - Danang and vice versa, total flight frequency is 12 flights (roundtrip)/day/flight. Other routes accord to the airline's needs.
The applicable time is from 00:00 on 16/5/2020: For Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route and vice versa, total flight frequency is 52 flights (roundtrip)/day. For routes Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City - Danang and vice versa, total flight frequency is 20 flights (roundtrip)/day/flight. Other routes accord to the airline's needs.

In the field of road transport, intra-provincial passenger transport will be specifically decided by the President of the People's Committee of the province or city for passenger transportation by bus or taxi. The People's Committees of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government agree on the operation of the intercity bus service.
For inter-provincial passenger transport, passenger transport in the provinces and centrally-run cities in the risk group, inter-provincial fixed passenger transport may be operated but not exceeding 50% of the trips in the schedule approved; complying with epidemic prevention and control measures.
For passenger transportation in low-risk provinces and centrally-run cities, the inter-provincial fixed transport business units may operate 100% of the trips in the approved operation. However, it must comply with measures to ensure prevention and control of epidemics.
In the field of railways, from 00:00 on April 29, 2020, Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City route can only operate a maximum of 5 pairs of passenger trains/day, other routes operate from 1-3 pairs of passenger trains/day, reported by Vietnam Plus.
