Immersing in unique cultural beauty of Nhi Son market
Despite being newly-established in 2016, Nhi Son market in Thanh Hoa's Muong Lat border district has become an indispensable cultural practice of the upland residents.
In recent days, the cold weather hasn’t deterred an influx of people flocking to Nhi Son market in Nhi Son commune, Muong Lat district, more than 200 km from Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Nien reported.

Established in 2016, Nhi Son market serves as a place to exchange goods and socialize of the Mong and Thai ethnic groups in Nhi Son commune as well as its vicinity.

The Nhi Son market is only held on the 15th day every month on a 3,000 m2 ground.
Last January 15 was the last fair in 2020 before the Lunar New Year of 2021. From the early morning, the market was thronged with thousands of people.
The market sells various kinds of items ranging from the local specialties such as forest bamboo shoots, sticky rice, spring fish, etc to agricultural tools like knives, sickles, etc.

In the colorful traditional costumes, girls joyfully have some talks with each other after long busy days at work on fields.
While some people are busy selling and buying goods, others savor scrumptious specialties such as Thang Co (a dish made from horse meat, including almost all the offal such as intestines, liver, and kidneys).
