In Iran, NA Chairman Hue has attended forums to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the nation.

He also received leaders of localities, ministries, enterprises, and friendship associations of Iran, and witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements.

Chairman Hue received heads of the Iran - Vietnam friendship associations during which he said people-to-people exchanges form the “strongest roots” for promoting Vietnam’s multifaceted relations with the country. He also expressed his hope that apart from holding people-to-people exchanges, the associations remain bridges connecting Vietnam with the country and helping strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.

Hue's trip took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, nearly 25 years after NA Chairman Nong Duc Manh’s Iran visit in 1999, and five years after Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Ardeshir Larijani’s official visit to Vietnam in April 2018.
