The National High School Exam 2020 is delayed until August 2020

The Ho Chi Minh City National University has announced the time changed to hold the competent assessment in 2020 as students take long days off due to COVID-19 epidemic.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh - Director of Center for Testing and Evaluation of Training Quality, Ho Chi Minh City National University, said that this university still holds 2 competent assessment rounds. However, the test time is changed to match the adjustment of the school year plan and the national high school exam plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.

“The deadline to register for the first exam is April 24 (compared to the original on February 28). The first exam will be held on May 31, with no change of venue. For the second round, the opening and ending registration date for the exam will be from June 1-July 10. The second exam will be held on August 9, and the testing site will be the same”, he said.

This adjustment will help students have a better time to review and prepare for the test.

International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will receive the dossier of competency assessment from March 16 to April 26 and hold the exam on May 23 and 24. However, depending on the COVID-19 epidemic situation, the exam time will be changed in accordance with the adjustment of the school year plan and the national high school exam of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology examines high school transcripts, reviews 3 semesters result and reviews grade 12 scores in a combination of 3 subjects.

Accordingly, all candidates with an average of 3 semesters grades (semester 1 and semester 2 of grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) from 18 points or more can participate in the admission. This form is carried out in parallel with examining grade 12 transcripts for candidates with a total grade of 3 subjects reaching 18 points or more.

Particularly for Pharmacy, candidates who register for admission must achieve good academic results in the 12th grade. Admission timeline is divided into several different rounds: First round until May 15; second round from May 16 to June 30; third round from July 1 to July 20.

Van Hien University recruited from the National High School Exam 2020 and relied on Ho Chi Minh City National University competency test results in compliance with the overall plan of the Ministry of Education and Training. For the Vocal and Piano department, the exam is scheduled for August 12 and September 4.
