Vietnamese student gains scholarship of top Australian university
	More Vallet scholarships granted to Vietnamese disadvantaged students
	Ethnic minority female students supported by non-profit organizations for remaining in schools

Quang Ngai is among seven provinces in the central region receiving SEEDS scholarship. Over the past three years, 840 students having difficult circumstances and good academic performances have been awarded SEEDS scholarship totaling nearly 8.5 billion VND (US$ 367 mln).

In 2020-2021 school year, 327 students in Quang Ngai receive the SEEDS scholarship. Those with outstanding academic achievements have the chance to attend English language summer camp.

In 2019-2020 school year, 408 students including 77 secondary school students, 251 high school students and 80 university students in the districts of Binh Son, Nghia Hanh and Quang Ngai City were given SEEDS scholarship totaling more than 4.1 billion VND (US$177 mln).

Secondary school students get the scholarship worth VND 2 million/ year/ each (US$86), high school students are VND 6 million/ year/ each (US$ 259) and university students are VND 16 million/year/each (US$ 691).

The Provincial Study Promotion Association awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives, 7 individuals and 1 student who well performed the SEEDS Scholarship Program in 2019-2020 school year.

Not only granting financial aid, but the SEEDS Scholarship Program also assists students to develop the essential skills to serve their future jobs. Besides, it cooperates with the Quang Ngai Study Promotion Association to build five compassion houses for poor students.

On this occasion, the Provincial Study Promotion Association also awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives, 7 individuals and 1 student who well performed in the SEEDS Scholarship Program in 2019-2020 school year.

Previously, on November 22, PeaceTrees Vietnam held a scholarship awarding ceremony 2020-2021 to 220 students in Quang Tri Province with a total value of over 600 million VND (US$25,937), Quang Tri Newspaper reported.
