Nearly USD 224 million in aid was given to Vietnam in the following areas: solving social problems, health care, and socio-economic development. This is one of the outstanding results of international non-governmental organization (INGOs) work in 2022, which was acknowledged at the meeting to review INGOs work in 2022 and discuss the 2023 direction and tasks held by the Committee for Foreign Non-governmental Organisation Affairs (COMINGO) in Hanoi on Feb. 17.

A ceremony was held in Hanoi on October 27 to celebrate 15th anniversary pf Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) in Vietnam. On this occasion, NPA was awarded with the Certificate of Appreciation by Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) for its outstanding contributions to building better living conditions for Vietnamese people.

“During their operation, if they face problems or difficulties, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) can directly discuss with the focal points, which are the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM), and leaders of the Committee for Foreign NGOs Affairs (COMINGO). We are committed to listening, sincerely considering your opinions, and actively solving necessary issues,” confirmed Phan Anh Son - Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) at the 2020 Information Sharing Conference with INGOs in Hanoi on Oct. 18.

The Committee for Foreign Non-governmental Organizations Affairs (COMINGO) and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) will continue to increase direct or virtual information sharing with foreign NGOs, affirmed Phan Anh Son, COMINGO Vice Chairman.

On March 17, in Hanoi, the Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Affairs (the Committee) organized a teleconference on the national briefing on foreign non-governmental work to review foreign NGO affairs last year and set up tasks for 2021.

Despite its borders being very close to China, the Vietnamese Government has promptly implemented effective measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, foreign NGOs praise in a joint letter to Vietnamese leadership.    

At a thematic workshop on healthcare (held as part of the recent International Conference on Vietnam - foreign NGOs cooperation), representatives of various foreign NGOs have voiced their wish to be able to raise fund in Vietnam.

On December 12 in Hanoi, 29 foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were honored and awarded the certificate of merit by the Committee for Foreign NGO Affairs (the Committee) for their outstanding contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development in period 2014-2018.
