UK and Europe weather forecast latest, September 9: Torrential rain to flood many regions in Europe
UK's weather forecast
According to Express, hot temperatures will return today as a warm plume of air descends over the UK throughout the entire day.
Britain is expected to be hit by an unusually warm day for this time of the year, according to the Met Office. Temperatures are set to rocket into the twenties in many parts of the country.
Jo Farrow, Netweather forecaster, said: “A plume of warmer air which was drawn in on Monday will be over the southern half of the UK on Tuesday."
“And south east Britain could see temperatures in the mid 20sC, so warmer than it has been lately. For many Tuesday will be a fine day.”

The warm Atlantic air will move in from the West, bringing a return to hot temperatures.
“The best breaks in that cloud will be across eastern areas, particularly across eastern Scotland through the morning as other parts of eastern England as well.”
Northwest Scotland will experience some outbreaks of rain and a cooler breeze than the rest of Britain.
Mr Wilson added: “But elsewhere across the UK, despite the cloud, it’ll be a fairly warm day for the time of the year. Temperatures reaching highs of 23C or 24C."

“A fairly warm and fairly muggy feel to the weather as well and even across east of Scotland we could see highs around 20C.”
Tuesday’s heat will continue throughout the week into Thursday in southern parts of the UK.
Ms Farrow said some cooler air may work its way south east over Britain on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
She added: “Clear skies and fresher air follow but south east Britain will still manage another warm day. It will be blustery further north.”
But some parts of the UK will experience a warmer night on Tuesday as the hot weather continues into the evening.

Mr Wilson said there will be a “fairly warm night to come” in southern parts of Britain. He added: “Temperatures not dropping below around 17C so a fairly uncomfortable night for sleeping I think so.”
On Wednesday temperatures will remain high in many areas. Mr Wilson said: “Temperatures reaching highs of 15C to 20C around where they should be for the time of the year."
“But across the very far southeast another fairly warm day once again with temperatures up around 23C. Again feeling quite humid and quite muggy.”

The brighter weather will spread southwards during the day and all areas will feel cooler. A breezy day for northern and western Scotland. Europe's weather forecast
BBC WEATHER has forecast torrential conditions for some parts of Europe this week as thunderstorms and heavy downpours trigger a deluge of rain - up to 100mm - and threaten to flood many regions on the continent.
BBC Weather meteorologist Chris Fawkes warned that Europe could expect to see a "severe" amount of rain this week. He noted that in Majorca over the last 24 hours, as much as 96mm of rain had been recorded as well as some localised flooding. This is all down to an area of low pressure.

Mr Fawkes told viewers: "So again there is the scope of seeing some thunderstorms across the Balearic islands as we go through Tuesday.
"Some of them could become quite severe with 50mm, maybe even 100mm of rain in the space of a few hours."
"So there is the threat of some localised flash flooding from the heaviest of those downpours. Over the next couple of days, those storms will still be around about."
He continued: "But they tend to drift a little bit more towards the mainland of Spain and southern parts of France."

"So there'll be a greater risk of seeing some storms breaking out here by the time we get to Wednesday. Some very hot weather across the southeast of Europe through Turkey and Cyrpus as well."
"Temperatures there into the high 30s, perhaps the low 40s in the very hottest areas."
The weather presenter added: "There'll be sunny skies for Italy with none of those showers and thunderstorms developing."
"But across central and western Spain, and Portugal too, it's dry, settled and sunny. A strap of cloud that is a weather front is bringing outbreaks of rain across parts of Denmark."

Mr Fawkes said: "It will go on towards Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia where it's also going to be quite windy."
"Gusts of wind could reach around 60km an hour for a time mid-week. Over the next few days, it's set to get a little bit cooler and fresher in London. But it will still be pleasant where the sunshine pops out. In Moscow, things are cooling off with temperatures at just 14C with cloud and rain by Friday."
On September 9
According to Weather Online, fair for much of Spain and Portugal on Wednesday. There is a risk of a few showers in eastern Spain too. Heavier showers in the Balearics as well as through Sardinia and Corsica. Italy will be dry with lots of sunshine. Remaining dry in Greece, windy in the east. Staying windy with sunshine in Turkey.
