At the launching ceremony of "Under The Siren Flower Branch", poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, praised the writer's vividly realistic writing. He said that each character and their stories seems familiar but also strange, provoking many thoughts and feelings for readers.
The book shows that the Vietnamese community in Russia, although big and diverse, their stories cover many meaningful messages about humanity for all of us to see ourselves in them.
“I have relatives who lived, worked and labored in Russia, so when I read "Under The Siren Flower Branch", I felt like I saw them in uncertainty, in despair, in the cold, surrounded by white snow and homesickness that I never knew before," said Nguyen Quang Thieu.
