Vietnamese Embassy in Russia on April 7 held a rewarding ceremony for outstanding collectives and individuals who have made positive contributions to the community work. The ceremony also served as an occasion for Vietnamese ex-pats in Russia to look back on a year of fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, Vietnamplus reported.
According to the Vietnam News Agency’s reporters in Moscow, speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh expressed his appreciation for the contributions made by Vietnamese organizations and individuals in Russia for the community work in the 2018-2021 period.

The diplomat said the Covid-19 pandemic has exerted adverse impacts on the Vietnamese community in Russia; however, with the spirit of solidarity and mutual support, they step by step surmount difficulties and challenges.
He also asserted Vietnamese people in Russia could take pride in what they have done in the host country during the past year, especially in gifting face masks to Moscow citizens and providing free meals for Russian doctors treating Covid-19 patients.

Ambassador also praised the efforts of the Vietnamese network in Russia in preventing and controlling Covid-19.
Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Russia Do Xuan Hoang stressed solidarity and mutual support would serve as a bridge connecting Vietnamese regardless of where they are.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh also awarded certificates of merit to individuals and collectives who have made great contributions to the community work in the 2018-2021 period as well as activities of the Vietnamese network in Russia in preventing and controlling Covid-19.
