The participants enjoy books and reading materials in Vietnamese, English, Russian languages, a variety of books from economics, politics, society and other specialized books at the "Choi" festival. They found it to be an opportunity to discover good books, to find like-minded people, thereby learning, expanding relationships and knowledge. In addition to the main book sales, the event also had other cultural and musical activities, promising to be full of fun and entertaining experience.

Regarding the reason to organize the event, Ms. Vu Ngoc Anh, a member of the organizing committee, a second-year student at the Russian University of Economics named Plekhanov, said that there has never been an official book festival organized by Moscow's Vietnamese student community, meanwhile, April 21 is Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. Hence, the organizer took this opportunity to hold the book festival and also to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26.

The Vietnam - Russia Embrace believes this will be an important step to develop a reading culture among the youth, open up the opportunity to exchange books, improve reading habits for book lovers.

Hence the event is the opportunity to arouse the spirit of solidarity and patriotism of Vietnamese people abroad; to connect students with the same passion towards the development of reading culture of the children of the Vietnamese community in Russia.

The "Choi" book festival is one of the many projects supporting disadvantaged students across Russia. Participants of the project included Vietnamese students/communities in Russia, Russian and international students who love Vietnamese culture.

They participated by donating books (in Vietnamese or foreign languages) to the organizers, the books will then be sold online on the Facebook page of the event and the book festival on April 24. The organizer also takes monetary donation.

The revenue from the event will be donated to the "Raising Children" fund to support meals for highland students in the countryside and remote areas of Vietnam.

On the day of the event, positive feedbacks from Vietnamese participants who are students at universities in Moscow when they know the good cause of their book purchases.

The head of the organizing committee, Tran Thi Van Anh, a second-year student at the Russian University of Economics named Plekhanov, revealed that the series of events "Sprouts" have been planned for a long time.

"Seeing that Vietnamese students here have a need for books and are limited in bringing books from Vietnam, the group decided to organize this book festival to create an environment for cultural exchange. exchange between Russian and Vietnamese with foreign friends, and at the same time, the income from the event will be contributed to the "Raising Children" fund," said Van Anh.
