During the meeting, the two sides discussed a cooperation plan between the US Embassy in Vietnam and the VUFO in organising activities towards the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-US diplomatic ties (July 12, 1995 - 2020), reported by VOV.

President Nga and Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink agreed on making efforts to contribute to further promote the Vietnam – US comprehensive partnership and the friendship between the two countries' people.

On this occasion, Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink congratulated the success of the Government and people of Vietnam in initially preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, reported by Vietnam Photography News.

At the meeting, President of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Phuong Nga expressed her delight at the positive development in bilateral relations.

President Nga affirmed that the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations is committed to cooperate with the US Embassy in Vietnam in organizing all activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries in the near future.

She wished the US people soon overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, reported by Vietnam Plus.
